Breakfast around the world

Plan

Breakfast around the world

Introduction
What are you going to make for breakfast tomorrow? What do people eat in other parts of the world? In this project I’ll tell you about food traditions in Russia and in some foreign  ['fɔrɪn] countries.

1. Breakfast in foreign countries

2. Breakfast in Russia

To prepare for this project I asked 20 people from my country, Russia, and learnt what they have for breakfast. Here are the results of my research [rɪ'sɜːʧ].
Most people eat/drink/have … .
A lot of people eat/drink/have … .
Some people eat/drink/have … .
A few people  eat/drink/have … .
Very few people eat/drink/have … .

3. Having breakfast at a café
Sometimes we go to a café to have breakfast or lunch there. It’s very important to know how to buy something there . You can talk to the cashier like that:

Malls and markets - Plan

Malls and markets

Introduction
When people visit other countries, a lot of them like going shopping. Some places where you can buy whatever you want are malls and markets.

1. The Mall of America vs. (versus ['vɜːsəs]) a shopping centre in Russia. (SB p.66)
I’ll tell some words about one of the biggest malls in the USA, the Mall of America, and compare it with my favourite shopping mall in Saint Petersburg, [

     a) Where is it?
     b) How many shops are there?
     c) What can you find there?
     d) Where can you eat? What do they serve? (On what floor of the Russian shopping mall is the food court? What kind of fast food restaurants are there?)
     e) The places where we can have fun.
     f) Where would you advise your friend to go in the Russian shopping mall?

3. Marvelous Markets
Markets are nice places which are attractive for both tourists and local people.
     a) A market in London/Thailand/Tokyo
               - The name of the market.
               - Where is it?
               - What does it look like?
               - What can you find there? What can people do there?

b) a Christmas Fair in Saint Petersburg
